1. Scope
This policy covers PeekXR for iPhone and iPad, its ReplayKit Broadcast Extension, the native Meta Quest app, and this website.
2. Screen, audio, and pairing
PeekXR processes your screen and permitted app audio only after you start an Apple ReplayKit broadcast. Pairing uses a QR code, short-lived session details, temporary cryptographic keys, device or service names, and a six-digit safety check. The microphone is not captured.
3. Local connection and optional control
Screen and audio travel directly between the device you approve and Quest over the local network using authenticated pairing and encrypted WebRTC. Optional Bluetooth control lets Quest act as a mouse through AssistiveTouch only when you choose to set it up. PeekXR has no account, cloud relay, advertising tracker, or analytics service.
4. Camera and device sensors
Camera frames are processed on your device only while scanning a QR code and are discarded immediately. Orientation is processed locally to keep the mirrored screen upright. Raw motion data is not stored or sent. PeekXR cannot bypass protected or blocked content.
5. Diagnostics
PeekXR stores redacted technical events locally to diagnose connection, lifecycle, orientation, media-health, and error types. iOS keeps at most two 512 KiB files per process, about 2 MiB total; Quest keeps two 256 KiB files. Logs exclude screen, camera, and audio content; QR or safety codes; pairing or session secrets; network addresses and URLs; WebRTC negotiation data; Bluetooth addresses; and direct device identifiers. PeekXR does not upload diagnostics automatically.
6. Retention and deletion
Screen, audio, camera frames, and temporary session material are discarded when no longer needed. Diagnostics rotate automatically. On iOS, Clear Diagnostics removes saved logs; Export Diagnostics opens Apple’s share sheet only after you choose it. On Quest, Clear saved device removes the app’s saved control record. You can also forget the Bluetooth device in system settings or uninstall PeekXR to remove its local app data.
7. Sharing and your choices
PeekXR does not sell or rent your data and does not send your media or diagnostics to us or advertisers. Apple system services such as ReplayKit, permissions, and Bluetooth, plus the bundled WebRTC component, provide requested device functions. You can decline camera or Bluetooth control, stop a broadcast at any time, revoke permissions, or use screen sharing without control.
8. Policy updates
We may update this policy when PeekXR, its data flows, or legal requirements change. The date above changes for material revisions. PeekXR has no server account or cloud store to delete; the local deletion choices above apply.
9. Contact
PeekXR is operated by Corners International Company Limited. For questions about this Privacy Policy, personal information, or deletion requests, email [email protected].
